Dominik Chojnowski - doctor of social sciences in the discipline of pedagogy, assistant professor in the Department of Education Theory at the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Lodz. In his research he combines pedagogical, psychological, sociological and political science approaches, aiming at interdisciplinary analyses. His research interests include the broad humanistic tradition in psychology and pedagogy. Of particular importance here is the work of Kazimierz Dabrowski, author of the theory of positive disintegration and initiator of the movement of mental hygiene in Poland. Another area of interest for the author is critical pedagogy, especially its American branch, whose main representatives are Henry Giroux and Peter McLaren. His scientific work aims to understand the complex social and educational phenomena we face in the modern world. This attitude is reflected in publications in scientific journals such as "Studies in Educational Theory" (Critique of Capitalism as a Way to Open New Areas of Emancipation in Education, 2020), "Educational Science. Interdisciplinary Studies" (Are we really doomed to educational failure? Pedagogy as a tool for liberating the oppressed of this world, 2018), "Societas et Ius" (Carl Schmitt - a thinker of struggle - or a prelude to a false political liberal consensus, 2017).
