Between Metaphor and Protocol: Remarks on the “First Language” in Ryszard Horodecki’s Essay

Krzysztof Sienicki

Abstract

The article examines the concept of language in Ryszard Horodecki’s essay as metaphor, information, and the formalism of quantum mechanics. The problem concerns the move from theoretical holism to communicative community. A methodological and conceptual analysis orders the author’s textual material and distinguishes formalism, interpretation, and metaphor. The main result is that an interdisciplinary protocol of translation is more viable than one privileged language. The conclusion is that common inquiry requires norms of translation, not metaphor alone.

Keywords
