Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Our journal publishes papers in English. If the submitted manuscript is in Polish, the author/s undertake to translate it into English within two weeks of the receipt of editorial team’s decision about admission of the paper for publication.

Please be kindly informed that we shall not proceed with submitted research papers that do not comply with Instructions to authors developed by Lublin Pedagogical Journal.

The journal collects no publication charges. This means that authors bear no costs of any stage of the publishing process, from typesetting of the manuscript to publication of the paper.     

When submitting a manuscript, you will be asked to attach two declarations: 1. Declaration of authorship, funding and use of artificial intelligence tools during writing of the paper; 2. Declaration of contributions to article. Signed and scanned Author/s declarations (in PDF or JPG format) should be attached as additional files at the time of submission.

TITLE PAGE PREPARATION:

Title page, download template here. Title page includes the following information:

Title of the paper – in Polish and in English, author(s) full name(s) including designation of the corresponding author, ORCID, affiliation (name of HEI, faculty, address, country, company phone number), e-mail address, as well as conflict of interest statement worded as follows: The author(s) have no conflicts of interest to declare. The title page should be additionally attached as a separate file.

PAPER PREPARATION:

A paper submitted in Polish should be composed of the following elements: title in Polish, abstract in Polish, keywords in Polish, title in English, abstract in English, keywords in English, main body, references.

A paper submitted in English should be composed of the following elements: title in English, abstract in English, keywords in English, title in Polish, abstract in Polish, keywords in Polish, main body, references.

ABSTRACT

Abstract in Polish and in English should be prepared in accordance with the following guidelines:

a) Abstract of the original research paper (quantitative research) should be structured and include headings in boldfaced type: Introduction, Research Aim, Method, Results, Conclusion.

b) Abstract of the original research paper (qualitative research) should be structured and include headings in boldfaced type: Introduction, Research Aim, Method, Results, Conclusion.

c) Abstract of a review paper should be structured and include headings in boldfaced type: Introduction, Research Aim, Evidence-based Facts, Summary.

d) An abstract should contain the maximum of 250 words (including headings). It is not recommended to use abbreviations (if this is necessary, define what a given abbreviation stands for when it is mentioned for the first time) and references.

e) Immediately below the abstract, the author should give keywords, separated by commas (minimum 4, maximum 6). 

f) Keywords should be followed by information what specific fragments of the submitted manuscript were prepared using artificial intelligence tools, wherever applicable.

MAIN PAPER

Text formatting and word limits

The length of the paper should be up to 35,000 characters including spaces (references are not included in the required number of characters). The text should come in standard pages in A4 format (30 verses per page, 60 characters per verse), margins: 2.5 cm, line spacing: 1.5 verses, font: Times New Roman, font size: 12 

Structure

The submitted original research paper (quantitative research) should have the following structure: Introduction, Research problem and aim, Materials and Methods, Data analysis, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Limitations, References.

The submitted original research paper (qualitative research) should have the following structure: Introduction, Research problem and aim, Materials and Methods, Data analysis, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Study Limitations, References.

The submitted review paper should have the following structure: Introduction, Research problem and aim, Methodology, Evidence-based facts, Summary, Conclusions, References.

In the Materials and Methods section, the author should specify the funding sources of the presented research project, if applicable, and information about the obtained approval of a competent ethics authority (if such approval was issued).

Writing a paper using APA style

Tables and diagrams

Tables and diagrams in the paper should be legible and designed solely for the purpose of presenting the essential data. All tables and figures in the paper should be numbered using Arabic numerals as they appear in the text. Table titles should be located above the table and put in the next verse below the word table and its number. Lines forming the table should be limited to horizontal lines separating column headings from the presented results and a line placed at the bottom of the table.

Tables and diagrams should be described according to the template.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscript meets all requirements set out in the Instructions to authors that can be found in the “About Journal” tab.

  2. The manuscript has not been published before nor submitted for publication in another journal.
  3. No ghost writing, guest authorship or conflict of interest occur in relation to the submitted manuscript.
  4. The author has read the manuscript review procedures determined by the journal.


  5. In the case of a multi-author paper, the submitting author has completed the declaration of contributions to article in which he or she indicated the contributions of all named authors to the submitted manuscript.
  6. The content of the paper is known to all named authors, and they consent to its publication. The completed declaration should be uploaded as an extra file at the time of submission.
