Abstract
There exist some constructions in Spanish in which a VP-internal constituent appears in what is commonly referred to as the left periphery of the clause (Rizzi, 1997, among others). Leonetti and Escandell-Vidal (2009) argue that these constructions are namely four: partial interrogative clauses, dislocations, focus fronting, and verum focus. In this paper I present some data which, prima facie, do not fit in this proposed classification. However, upon closer scrutiny and following a suggestion made in Escandell Vidal & Leonetti (2011), I defend that these cases are run-of-the-mill dislocations.
