Javier Fernández-Sánchez is an Assistant Professor in Theoretical Linguistics at the
University of Gdańsk. He completed his PhD in Cognitive Science and Language at the
Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2017, and he obtained his Master of Research
in Syntax at the University College London in 2012. His research interests lie in
the area of comparative grammar and syntax, as well as its interface with
pragmatics. He has written various publications on information structure, ellipsis
and more recently on non-standard interrogative clauses in Spanish.
