On the Morphological Adaptation of Anglicisms in the Bulgarian Language

Ginka Vasileva

Abstract

The author reveals how the borrowed English words acquire the morphological features inherent in the Bulgarian lexical units and are easily incorporated into the paradigms of respective word classes. In this way anglicisms become suitable to fully function in the modern Bulgarian language, as their assimilation in morphological terms does not suppose major issues or exceptions.
